Carnival!
Our spring concert features “Carnaval!” by Julie Giroux, a vivid depiction of the excitement and energy of a Latin street carnival. During the carnival season cultures all over the world celebrate with parades and street parties that feature floats, dancers, vendors, and street performers. Giroux captures the energy of the Latin carnival with a persistent rhythmic motor that travels through various timbres of the concert band, including many percussion instruments. Free admission.

A holiday concert featuring an animated presentation of the storybook, “The Snowman," by Raymond Briggs, accompanied by the Farmington Concert Band. A memorable family experience.

The FCB reprises a tribute concert featuring a choice selection of music by composers who have ties to the State of Michigan. A special feature will be a video postcard of visual memories from Michigan travels over the years projected on screen and accompanied by the band.
