Welcome to our 52nd concert season!
The members of the Farmington Community Band are looking forward to presenting another exciting season of great music for you to enjoy. In the spirit of our 52 year legacy, we will performing a wide variety of musical themes for for concert band in and around the Farmington Community. Maestro Damien Crutcher has been working with the FCB Board of Directors to develop a concert season filled with an entertaining sampling of exciting and demanding musical literature along with several all time favorites.
Highlights for this season begin with our popular "Spooktacular XXXII" Halloween concert featuring middle school band students from Farmington Public Schools who will appear on stage with the band in a variety of roles for an afternoon of tunes & treats. In December, enjoy our traditional holiday concert featuring special guest soprano vocalist, Dr. Lynda Wood, who will perform "Three American Gospel Songs" with the concert band. Our "Colors of Spring" concert in April will feature guest conductor, Dr. Mary Schneider, Director of Bands at Eastern Michigan University. In May, we hope to see you back at St. James Catholic Church in Novi for an entertaining review of the "Best of the Season". Also, don't forget to catch the FCB Big Band, under the direction of Mr. Randy Barber, for the "jazzy" side of the FCB at our annual Valentine Dinner Dance and at Heritage Park in the summer.
The FCB was founded on the principle of music education for life. In support of that concept, we are working with Farmington Public Schools to develop a high school honors band and scholarship program this year, so stay tuned for more information about that exciting program.

The FCB will continue its mission to present a wide variety of music for everyone to enjoy and promote the concept of music education for life. From kids in their schools, to band festivals, dinner dances, seniors in nursing homes, and formal concerts, it is our wish to extend a musical greeting to everyone who loves fine music.
